10 Things I am Grateful of in 2016

2017 has officially started.And I want to start my year by thanking God for His grace, mercy and favor.  Here are the things I am grateful of in 2016.happy-new-year

10. I had a chance to work with Ayala Land Premier, the country’s largest developer of high end properties. I learned a lot from the training as well as the actual work itself. Met new friends for a short period of time. It was an unforgettable experience.

9. We have relaunched our photocopying business. God provided business partners and stakeholders. It has been challenging yet we saw how God moved in our start up.

8. I bid goodbye to my first ever employer, B/E Aerospace. It might not be the wisest decisions made but still learned a lot for this experience. Thank you B/E Aerospace for almost four years of employment.

7. IEXCEL..We have successfully launched IExcel South Manila, our first branch in Metro Manila and 5th branch of IExcel. Indeed it was a mountain moving experience. A vision was translated to reality. Thanks to IExcel team. Lex, Wil, Yssa, Jamie and all review mentors. IExcel had the most number of students and passers for the 8th CIE Exam. Thank you Lord also for our 5 topnotchers this year.

6. I was given the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience as a resource speaker at Colegio de San Juan de Letran, University of Batangas and Pamantasan ng Cabuyao. It was such a humbling experience speaking to future industrial engineers.

5. Leng, Lex and I received the title of Associate ASEAN Engineer by the Philippine Technological Council on the occasion of 34th Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (CAFEO).

4. My sister Mira, my mom and my love were given an opportunity to visit Malaysia. We enjoyed that tour in KL and Melaka. Thanks ate Menmen and Kenji for the warm accommodation and for taking us to historic destinations in Malaysia.

3. Our family had our first out of town swimming. I enjoyed seeing that from nothing, at least we are now able to go out and have some time for one another. I love my family. More in 2017

2. Leng (My love). We celebrated our first year anniversary. We are able to visit different places in the Philippines; Puerto Galera, Laiya, Anawangin, Nagsasa Cove, Bataan and Palawan to name a few.  (Thank you babe for always being present from January to December, in the best of times and in the worst of times. I am looking forward to spending my forever with you. I love you and  I will do everything for you. I can’t imagine my 2016 without your care, comfort and love.May God be always the center of this relationship)

1 . JESUS – Thank you Lord for your grace, mercy and favor. 2016 has been a fruitful year and at some point has been challenging as well. Thank you Lord, we have overcome. With you, all things are possible.  We are excited for the amazing things you are about to do in 2017.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. – Ephesians 3:20-21.

13 Things I am Thankful of in 2013

Last year, I wrote my year end blog BIG 12 in 2013 and before this year end, I would like also to look back and be reminded of the amazing things that God has done in 2013. I know God has always been there from the start and he is continuously adding experiences each year; last year it was 12 but now it’s 13.Image

1. Beginning of this year, I received my regularization letter for my present job, really a good start of the year.

2. I graciously passed the 4th Certified Industrial Engineer Exam and had my first ever oath taking in my whole life as a professional

3.On the first day of April, I was promoted from a Stores Technician to a Sales Admin, from a 48 hour work week- 40 hour work week. God is really gave me extra time for the family.

4.. My family. For the first time, we had our very first family swimming during my sister’s birthday. That’s really historic

5. I was also able to attend at least 3 sessions of IGNITE 2013, Every Nation Asia Conference where more than 9 thousand student leaders around the Philippines and Asia attended.

6. God gave me an opportunity to become on of the leaders of ARISE Alumni Group.

7. I was invited to speak in Industrial Engineering Orientation Seminar for the Students of Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

8. Also, it was my first time to be one of the judges of Mr. and Ms. BSIES (Batangas Society of Industrial Engineers) held at First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities

9. God made us (Lex, MD, Jamie, Yssa and I) possible to put up IEXCEL REVIEW AND TRAINING CENTER (the first review center in CALABARZON area for aspiring Certified Industrial Engineers. It was a four-month faith moving event in our lives. God has taught us a lot of things and made us realize that really nothing is too hard for him.

10.I found new friends in U-belt area. It’s too many to mention how many they are, but I am grateful that I found people who stands and enjoys life with.

11. 2013 is also the 12th Year Anniversary of Arise and Shine Campus Ministry. We looked back and were able to experience serving again in the campus which we usually are doing for the rest of our college life.  Also, this year also attended the Thanksgiving Anniversary of WON Church.

12. In mid September, my two friends from Hillsong Amsterdam (Lestari and Rene) had a vacation in the Philippines. I was able to meet and tour them in Tagaytay and Makati  together with Prof. Sherwin and Engr. Nic. That was really an experience for the 5 of us. We share the same faith with God despite of our races ( Rene ate Balut)

13. GOD. Really God is the person behind the things that happened this year. To Him All the glory. He is the BESTEST!!

Truly all things things have work together for good and graciously give all things.

I was not able to write a blog over time, maybe because of my busy schedule or procrastinated to write one. This time, I can help but write this.

I’m believing that in every season of our life, God is always teaching us new things, giving us new experiences and sometimes letting us encounter some strange things. Maybe your thinking what’s my intention why I’m writing this. Well, I am also thinking.

I don’t really appreciate Christian love songs not because they are not good, but because I could not relate on them. I don’t have experiences that will help me relate on the messages of those songs. Maybe, because I am still young, or my priority is different, or for whatever reasons, I really don’t. But this time, one song by Kari Jobe struck me most. Image

It’s never too late to EXCEL

It was July in 2012, when I decided to take the Industrial Engineering Certification Board. I wrote down at least 4 reasons why to take the exam..I won’t mention all, but I will share the last one and it says, “It is not yet late to EXCEL.” For some of you who does not know me, I took up my Engineering Degree for 5.5 years, I failed at least 3 subjects and 2 Incompletes, I went to summer class for the first two years, cross enrolled in other colleges and it so happened that I became the president of the campus ministry in our university. Funny, isn’t it. I am leading a campus ministry with this academic standing? It is one of my concerns actually while doing campus ministry because, some how I’m modeling and looking up to a campus movement with “Excellence” on its last letter on its acronym. In short, I fall short in that qualification.

Right now, after taking the exam, and waiting for almost 2 months, I finally passed the exam.The reason why I am writing right now to encourage those students to still pursue studying even though they don’t have good academic records in the past. As Jesus Christ, resurrected, I am believing God to resurrect also your grades, just have faith in Him in every decision that you will do.  ” It’s never too late to EXCEL, Excellence can HONOUR GOD.”And always remember, the reason why we want to excel, is not for us to be known, to have a better standing , to have good paying job; but it is all about HONOURING GOD in every area of our life.

BIG 12 in 2012

Image2013 is about to begin and 2012 is about to end in few hours. It’s really good to look back and reflect the good things that God has done in my life this year. I believe that we serve a big God that’s why I call it BIG.

Here is my BIG 12 in 2012: (In any order except NO. 1)

12. I finished my Industrial Engineering degree. I took it for 5.5 years, imagine..it’s BIG for me.

11. Prior to my graduation, I was given the opportunity to lead a camp in Arise and Shine Campus Ministry held in Tagaytay City. It was really a big step of faith because it was the first time for us to do that. God is good!

10. I have discipled 4 young people who made disciples.I learned a lot from them.

9. I was hired in an aerospace company as my first job and was given the privilege to be trained in the Kingdom of The Netherlands for three months. All expense paid with allowance. It is my first time to go in a European country and unexpectedly  reside there. Awesome God!

8. I was able to attend a service at Hillsong Church. I had a great worship experience in that place.

7. Ate Liza, Brian and I attended the Campus Harvest Conference last June at Cuneta Astrodome. It was my first time to experience to worship God with 7000 youth leaders. IMBA!

6. I was privileged to speak for two sessions (my first time) during the WON Youth Summer Camp.

5. I was also privileged to speak in our Youth Conference with the theme “Reload”! Reloaded with the passion for God!

4. Arise and Shine Campus Ministry became the Most Outstanding Non-Academic Organization in our university!

3. I was appointed to be the president of WON National Youth Organization.

2. Financial breakthrough  four our family! (Degree holders na kaming lahat ng magkakapatid, salamat mommy!)We have a better relationships with each other.

1.God made all the above mentioned things possible! Thank God for everything! I can’t imagine myself without Him in my life.

Have you ever felt that when you became a Christian, you are likely to lose life?

I always admire great man and woman of God who chose to follow Christ rather than what the world can offer. Some  are doctors who chose to be pastors, some are engineers  who chose to be a missionaries rather than earning a lot of money, some are  celebrities who chose to live a more private life rather than being popular. Are they really losing their lives? Some people may say that it is so foolish to do such things but it is really what gives a person something that money can’t buy.
